New Delhi, 25 August, 2017 : Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba paid a courtesy call on President of India Ram Nath Kovind at the Rastrapati Bhawan. Matters relating to bilateral interest between the Nepal and India were discussed during the meeting. Prime Minister Deuba arrived here Wednesday on a five-day state visit.
Prime Minister Deuba also called on Indian Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu at the Hyderabad house.
Likewise, Prime Minister Deuba held a meeting with Indian National Congress President Sonia Gandhi at the Office of the President of India.
During the meeting, Ms Gandhi congratulated Prime Minister Deuba for successfully holding the local level elections. She also expressed sorrow over the damage caused to life and property in the recent floods that hit the tarai region of Nepal.
Ms Gandhi also laid emphasis on further strengthening and consolidating relations between the two countries at the people's level.
