Birgunj, 11 September, 2017 : Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal has unveiled its poll manifesto with the slogan ‘One job for one household’ in Birgunj Metropolitan City, the only metropolis in Province 2, in Parsa. Unveiling its manifesto, RJP-N General Secretary and Birgunj Metropolitan City mayoral candidate Rajesh Man Singh said they had embraced the idea of providing a job to each household with a view to improving economic condition of all citizens.
He also said,“If we can tackle the problem of brain drain which is increasing every day, we can transform the country with youth workforce. Hence, we are also thinking to promote entrepreneurship among the city’s youths,” said Singh.
In the manifesto, the party has pledged that the metropolis would open fixed deposit bank accounts in the names of locals and transfer certain fund to the accounts in order to ensure a secured life for all children born in the metropolis. RJP-N has pledged to begin work for sanitation of the Sirsiya River that flows through the middle of the metropolis and promote tourism by launching rafting on the river.
The manifesto has prioritised health, education and sports sectors. The party has also pledged to blacktop roads in each ward.
Similarly, construction of a martyr memorial park, use of the local language as for official purposes in the metropolis and creation of children-friendly and disabled-friendly environment are other highlights of the manifesto.
