Venkaiah Naidu 13th Vice-President of India

New Delhi: The ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate and former Union minister M Venkaiah Naidu has been elected as the 13th Vice-President of India on Saturday. Naidu defeated the opposition United Progressive Alliance (UPA) candidate and former diplomat Gopalkrishna Gandhi by a margin of 272 votes. Gandhi is also grandson of Mahatma Gandhi.
