Kathmandu, 11 January : Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged one and all not to dream the revival of monarchy, brushing aside the achievements of people’s struggle and sacrifice.

Addressing a programme organized on the occasion of the 297th Prithvi Jayanti and national unity day in the capital city, PM Oli said, “It is sheer stupidity to dream the return of monarchy linking it to Prithvinarayan Shah. Such dreamers are regressive ones indeed.”

“I’ve understood Prithvinarayan Shah as the precursor of nation building. National unity should be strengthened as per present need,” he underscored.

He further viewed that if Prithvinarayan Shah had not led the unification campaign, none could have imagined Nepal in this form.

Reminding that various conspiracies were hatched to destabilize sovereign nation Nepal, he pointed out the need of maintaining harmonious relations with the neighbours on the basis of national interest and international law and responsibility.

The PM asserted that present government formed for five years is stable and has a clear vision. People will be made realize the change with the institutionalization of the achievements.

As he said, government will be focused on formulating important laws. The country’s journey towards development and prosperity will be accelerated, the PM assured.

In a different note, PM Oli said, “I’d presented the data as per the implementation of budget for five months of the current fiscal year.”

Moreover, he shared the information that new campaign was launched in the country; none would be poised to hunger. Necessary materials were sent to Tarai to protect the helpless from the cold.
