Govt to provide Rs 1m to family of Singh killed in Sarlahi

Kathmandu, 12 July : The government has decided to provide Rs 1 million to the family of Saroj Narayan Singh who was killed in Sarlahi.

Addressing the regular press conference Government Spokesperson and Minister for Communication and Information Technology Gokul Baskota said the Cabinet has decided to provide relief to Singh’s family and pay for the expenses incurred in government hospitals during treatment of those injured in the incident.

Likewise, the government has decided to bear all the medical expenses of the injured during the incident.

Amit Raya, 11, a resident of Ishworpur Municipality was drowned in the sandpit near Banke River. A clash ensued between the cadres of the ruling Nepal Communist Party and those of  Rastriya Janata Party- Nepal while demanding compensation to the victim’s family of the child. Saroj Singh succumbed to the head injuries during the clash.
